Canvassers in Lilypad
Canvassers use the Lilypad mobile app to work neighborhoods, record doors, follow up with leads, and keep track of upcoming appointments. When you sign in as a canvasser, Lilypad opens directly to the canvassing screens.
- Canvassers have a bottom tab bar with Map, Leads, Appointments, and Leaderboard.
- Canvassers do not manage quotes and stay within the canvassing area of the app.
- If you are an agent or admin visiting canvassing, you will have a way back to Home. Canvassers do not see Home.
Tabs and what they do
- Map: See your territory, team and personal recorded doors, and nearby leads. Tap the map to record a door knock.
- Leads: View and update leads, contact them, get directions, and record another visit when needed.
- Appointments: See upcoming appointments you set while knocking doors.
- Leaderboard: See team performance.
Record a door on the Map
- Open the Map tab. If the app asks for location permission, allow it so the map can center near you.
- Tap the map at the address where you are knocking.
- Review the details. You can confirm or add the address and add notes.
- Select the outcome of the knock. If you set a follow up appointment here, it will appear in Appointments.
- Save. A pin for this door appears on the map.
- If you tap an existing pin that is linked to a lead, you can work with that lead from there.
- Do Not Knock pins show as hard red skip markers so you can avoid them.
Outcomes and contact info
- Not home, Not interested, Do not knock: Lilypad logs a pin only, no contact form.
- Callback, Interested, Appointment set, Sold: Lilypad asks for contact info. Name is required, phone and email are optional.
- When you record another visit on an existing lead, Lilypad does not ask for contact details again.
- Appointments attach when a lead exists. When you add one during a knock, it appears in Appointments.
Work a lead from the Leads tab
- Open the Leads tab.
- Select a lead to open its details.
- Update the lead’s disposition by choosing a new status.
- Use the action chips to call, text, email, or get directions.
- If the lead has a map location, tap Knock again to record a new visit.
Leads you create at the door are routed to your closer. You still see the leads you knocked in your list.
Review upcoming Appointments
- Open the Appointments tab to see upcoming items grouped by day.
- Pull down to refresh.
- Tap an appointment to open the linked lead when available.
Appointments are created while you record a knock, then they appear here.
Check the Leaderboard
Open the Leaderboard tab to view team performance.
Working offline
- If you lose signal, Lilypad saves your recorded knocks and sends them automatically when you are back online.
- Queued knocks still appear on your map so you do not re-knock the same door. They keep their original time when they send.
Role limits
- Canvassers cannot manage quotes and never see pricing. If a lead already has a quote, you may see that it has a quote, not the quote’s pricing.
- If you need access beyond canvassing, contact your manager about your role.
